Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the MandoMaxxing mobile app and this website (the “Service”), operated by Lex, an independent developer (“MandoMaxxing”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, and able to form a binding contract, to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Provide accurate information and let us know promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Pricing and purchases

• MandoMaxxing offers a free tier with fair-use daily limits on AI-generated content, and an optional auto-renewing Pro subscription that unlocks daily personalized stories and other premium features.
• Pricing and renewal terms are shown in the app before you buy, and payments are processed by the Apple App Store.
• Any auto-renewing subscription can be managed or cancelled in your app-store account settings.
• Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Billing, refunds, and price changes are handled under the rules of the app store you purchased through.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others’ rights when using the Service;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• misuse the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or unlawful content;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

5. Learning content and AI

MandoMaxxing generates lessons, stories, and feedback using automated and AI systems. This content is for language-learning purposes only, may contain errors or inaccuracies, and is not professional, educational accreditation, or other expert advice. Always use your own judgement.

6. Focus blocking

MandoMaxxing includes an optional focus feature that uses your device's screen-time controls (Apple's Family Controls on iOS) to shield apps you choose until you complete a learning task. Blocking depends on the permissions you grant and on your device's operating system; you can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings, and we do not guarantee that blocking is uninterruptible. The feature is a voluntary commitment aid, not a parental-control or security product, and we are not responsible for consequences of apps being blocked or unblocked.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, mascot, and branding, is owned by MandoMaxxing and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own learning. Content you submit (such as your written sentences) remains yours; you grant us a licence to process it as needed to operate and improve the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (including Apple, Google Firebase, DeepSeek, Expo, PostHog, Sentry, and RevenueCat). Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MandoMaxxing will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or SGD 50 if you have paid nothing.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of Singapore.
